4 nabbed for 'guerilla-style' e-sabong in Antipolo
Four men were arrested for conducting illegal “guerilla-style” e-sabong operations in Antipolo City.
According to a 24 Oras exclusive report by John Consulta on Wednesday, the suspects were using mobile phones with internet connections to conduct a faster style of e-sabong, which they directly show to bettors in real-time.
(Under guerilla style, the suspects quickly collect bets once the online video is okay. They immediately give out the winnings and leave. It’s done very fast, and they would do repeat the activity in different areas. Their customers are toda drivers. In todas, there are lines so the drivers would place bets while waiting for passengers.)
“Narekober natin isang cellphone at bet money. Ang kakaharapin nilang kaso ay PD 1602– illegal gambling,” he added.
(We recovered a cellphone and bet money. They would face cases for violating PD 1602– illegal gambling.)
GMA Integrated News reached out to the suspects but they declined to comment on the matter.
