Police seeking pickup truck driver who ran over rider in Cavite

Police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck who escaped after he ran over a motorcycle rider in Bacoor, Cavite on Tuesday.

According to a report in 24 Oras on Wednesday, footage of the hit and run showed the black pickup vehicle drive over a rider who was sprawled on the road.

The same dashcam video, provided by a concerned motorist to authorities, showed the driver of the pickup vehicle was driving erratically and swerving across several lanes.

The victim was immediately brought to a hospital and was later discharged.

The Bacoor Police Office said the victim will file a complaint against the suspect.

Authorities are now backtracking available video footage and are now looking for the identity of the pickup driver.
