Motorcycle rider dead after being run over by truck in Iloilo City

A 27-year-old motorcycle rider died after he was hit by a truck in Barangay Lanit, Jaro, Iloilo City.

Sevein Hope Gegantoca of GMA Super Radyo Iloilo reported that the Jaro Police said the victim got into the lane of the oncoming truck and was struck in the head.

Authorities said it was still dark when the incident happened, and the victim may have been surprised with the road construction that caused him to go to the inner lane.

The victim's family has not yet decided whether to file a complaint against the truck driver, who is currently in police custody. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/VBL, GMA Integrated News
