Magnitude 5.2 earthquake hits Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck near Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental on Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.
PHIVOLCS said the tectonic earthquake, which occurred at 3:37 p.m., hit at a depth of 18 kilometers.
The epicenter was traced some two kilometers northeast of Hinoba-an town.
Intensity III was reported in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique.
Aftershocks are likely to occur, but no damage is expected, according to PHIVOLCS. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
