Sorsogon priest passes 2024 Bar Exams

A priest in Sorsogon was one of the 3,962 examinees who passed the 2024 Bar examinations.

In a congratulatory post, the Diocese of Sorsogon's Facebook page on Friday shared that Rev. Fr. Dean Simon Bayna Peña, JD is among the country’s new lawyers.

GMA News Online reached out to the diocese for additional details but has yet to receive a reply as of posting time.

Kyle Christian Tutor of the University of the Philippines College of Law topped the Bar exams with with an overall rating of 85.7700%.

The passing grade is 74%.

In September, a total of 10,483 aspiring lawyers took the Bar exam, according to the Supreme Court.
