Man hacks drinking buddy on face with bolo over missing wallet

A 39-year-old man sustained injuries on his face after his drinking buddy hit him with a bolo over a missing wallet in Antipolo City.

In Ian Cruz’s Monday report on Saksi, residents of Barangay San Jose were alarmed in the middle of the night when the two men were seen fighting armed with bolos.

After the fight, victim Rodel Zonio sustained injuries to his face and was rushed to the hospital while the suspect fled.

“Nawala yung wallet niya. Ako yung pinagbibintangan niya. Nagagalit siya sa akin,” said Zonio, who was discharged from the hospital.

“Panagutan nila yung ginawa nila sa akin,” he added.

(He lost his wallet. He's accusing me of stealing his wallet. He is angry at me. He should be accountable for what he did to me.)

The police are searching for the suspect, who is facing frustrated homicide charges.
