GMA Kapuso Foundation to build 3 classrooms with CR in Benguet school

GMA Kapuso Foundation is extending their helping hand to a school in Buguias, Benguet.

According to a report on "24 Oras," Monday, three classrooms with comfort rooms will be built at Cotcot Talabis Elementary School.

"Pinili namin ang mga eskwelahan kasi 'yan ay nasa vegetable farming district ng Benguet. Nababahala talaga kami dahil 'yung mga bagyong dumaan dito, talagang pinahirapan kayo," Rikki Escudero-Catibog, GMA Kapuso Foundation AVP and COO said.

Because the school is located in a mountainous area, a riprap will be installed to ensure the safety of students.

"'Yun 'yong purpose ng riprap natin sa baba para mapigilan 'yung pagguho ng ating pundasuyon," GMA Kapuso Foundation Supervising Engineer Arnel Zantua said.

The riprap can also withstand typhoon signal number five and a magnitude eight earthquake.

Aside from the classrooms, the foundation also distributed gift bags to students from kindergarten to Grade 6.

For those who are interested to help, GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
