18-year-old man shot dead inside tricycle in Iloilo City
An 18-year-old man was shot dead inside a tricycle by motorcycle-riding suspects along a road in Iloilo City last Tuesday.
According to the report of GMA Regional TV’s Kim Salinas in “Saksi” on Wednesday, the victim’s 16-year-old companion, who is known by the alias “Makoy”, was seen running away from the tricycle while the former was left inside the tricycle where he was shot.
The CCTV footage showed that the suspects immediately fled the scene.
The principal suspect in the crime was arrested by the police following a hot pursuit operation.
Based on the statement of “Makoy”, the suspects told the victim to go to a boarding house where they plan to commit the crime.
“It only shows that Alias Makoy is knowledgeable that such an incident would happen,” said Molo Police Station chief Police Captain Ryan Christ Inot in the vernacular.
Authorities said that the crime could be related to illegal drugs.
The victim’s family refused to give a comment. The charges against the principal suspect, Alias “Makoy”, and two other individuals are being prepared. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/BAP, GMA Integrated News
