Magnitude 5.2 earthquake recorded in Davao Occidental

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake hit off the coast of Davao Occidental on Tuesday afternoon, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

According to data from PHIVOLCS, the epicenter was located at 06.07°N, 126.17°E – 054 km S 74° E of Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental.

The earthquake was recorded at 4:34 p.m. with a depth of 56 kilometers and was noted to be tectonic.

Intensity III was recorded over Don Marcelino, and no damage was expected following the quake.
