Grade 3 student on the way to school dies after being hit by motorcycle

A Grade 3 student on the way to school died after being hit by a motorcycle in Lapu Lapu City, according to a report on "Unang Balita."

The victim was rushed to the hospital but died a short time later.

Authorities arrested the motorcycle rider and detained him temporarily at the Lapu Lapu detention facility. 

He said he did not notice the student crossing the road.

The suspect will face a complaint of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
