8,000 Cagayan residents affected by Typhoon Marce receive food packs from GMA Kapuso Foundation
A total of 8,000 residents of Cagayan who were affected by Typhoon Marce received food packs from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
According to a report on "24 Oras," Monday, they already suffered from tropical cyclones Kristine and Leon.
Among the beneficiaries is the family of Nenita Asuncion, who evacuated to a covered court only to get wet as its roof collapsed due to the rains and winds.
"Akala namin safe kami dito pero noong dumating na 'yung pinakamalakas na bagyo basa lahat ng mga tent," she said.
Another beneficiary is Myrna Butay, whose big house did not escape the onslaught of the typhoon. She thanked the GMA Kapuso Foundation for bringing them aid.
"Walang-wala kami Ma'am," she said. "Salamat na lang sa mga bigay n'yo, kasi 'yung bigas namin bumibili kami 'pag meron kaming nakita."
For those who are interested to help, GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
