Death toll from Talisay, Batangas landslide hits 18

Four more bodies were recovered following a landslide that hit a village in Talisay, Batangas, amid heavy rains brought by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami).

According to Marisol Abduhraman's report on ''State of the Nation'' on Friday night, the death toll rose to 18 from 14 previously.

Police said the landslide occurred in Barangay Sampaloc on Thursday evening.

Elmer Dejucos, a resident of the barangay, said his wife and two-year-old child are among those reported as missing.
