Albay health office on white alert for TD Kristine

The Albay Provincial Health Office is on white alert as Tropical Depression Kristine brings rains over parts of the country.

“Under Memorandum No. 25-2024, all Municipal/District Hospitals, Rural and City Health Units, and Offices, as well as Albay Provincial Health and Emergency Management Staff (HEMS) personnel, are directed to remain vigilant and submit flash reports,” the memorandum dated Monday read.

“Evacuees must be monitored for symptoms such as fever and respiratory issues before entering evacuation centers. Symptomatic evacuees should be immediately transferred to the isolation area,” the statement further read.

The alert status is in effect until Kristine is no longer a threat to Albay, the provincial health office said.

Signal No. 1 is hoisted over 13 areas in Luzon, including Albay.

Kristine entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Sunday evening.
