Dingalan, Aurora requires visitors to secure insurance
The local government of Dingalan, Aurora now requires visitors to secure tourist insurance before exploring the town.
In an advisory by the Dingalan Tourism Office, Municipal Ordinance No. 266, Series of 2024 covers tourists and accommodation establishments in the town.
Such insurance is meant for tourists “who would suffer disability and/or death while in the territorial jurisdiction of Dingalan.”
The tourist insurance can be availed through any local government-registered or accredited insurance provider.
Tourists should present their copy of the policy or receipt of insurance coverage, and payment from the insurance provider.
Meanwhile, accommodation establishments must present their memorandum of agreement with an insurance provider.
Tourists who will not comply with the required insurance will not be allowed to tour Dingalan, the advisory said.
Tourist establishments, on the other hand, shall be fined, or their permits to operate shall be suspended or canceled if they fail to comply with the directive. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
