16-year-old GenSan teen dead after brother hits him with hammer

A 16-year old teen in General Santos City died after his older brother allegedly hit him and their mother on their heads with a hammer inside their home, according to a report by GMA Regional TV in Saksi on Monday.

The police found the body of the victim still hugging a pillow while lying on his bed.

His mother was found on the floor. She is currently in critical condition, the report said.

Authorities also found the hammer that was possibly used in the crimes.

In his defense, the suspect said he was not in his right mind when the incident occurred, claiming he does not remember his actions.

The relatives of the victims are still deciding whether they would file charges against the suspect, who is currently detained in a police facility.—Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
