Man nabbed for alleged illegal gun sale in Maguindanao del Norte

Authorities arrested a 34-year-old man during a buy-bust operation in Matanog, Maguindanao del Norte for allegedly selling firearms illegally.

The suspect was caught in the act of selling a 5.56mm semi-automatoc rifle to an undercover police officer posing as a buyer.

Aside from the gun, police also seized ammunition.

The suspect is now detained at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Maguindanao Provincial Field Unit.

He is facing charges for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act (RA 10591).  —GMA Regional TV News
