Pulong Duterte seeks House reelection in Eleksyon 2025

Davao City First District Representative Paolo Duterte has filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for reelection in the upcoming 2025 midterm elections.

Congressman Duterte’s COC was filed for him on Monday by his counsel, lawyer Elijah Pepito as shown in the former's Facebook page.

“I thank the Davaoeñoes for their support. I owe this to them and I will never forget it,” the congressman, who is the son of former President Rodrigo Duterte, said.

If Paolo Duterte wins in 2025, it will be his third consecutive and last term as House member.

Also on Monday, Jesus “Papa Jess” Marquez also filed his COC for Aklan First District Representative.

Marquez was joined by his father, former Aklan governor and incumbent Aklan First District Representative Carlito Marquez and his wife, Cory Gelano Marquez.

Marquez will be running under the Nationalist People’s Coalition. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
