Ex-Dinagat gov Bag-Ao files COC for House comeback

Former Dinagat Islands Governor Kaka Bag-ao on Friday filed her certificate of candidacy for Eleksyon 2025 to represent the lone legislative district of the province at the House of Representatives.

Bag-ao is running under the banner of the Liberal Party. She was accompanied by incumbent Provincial Board Member Lyn Dialde of the first provincial district and Sean Eludo of the second provincial district.

She served as Dinagat Islands' governor from 2019 to 2022 after sitting as a member of the House of Representatives from 2010 to 2019 representing Akbayan Party-list in the 15th Congress and Dinagat's representative in the 16th and 17th Congresses.

"Napakarami na nating nagawa noon na dapat pa rin nating ipagpatuloy. Habang may Dinagatnon na nagugutom, naghihirap, at napag-iiwanan, kailangan pa ring lumaban at maglingkod," she said in a press statement.
