Teacher nabbed for alleged sexual abuse, online exploitation of minor students

A teacher in Balingasag, Misamis Oriental has been arrested for allegedly molesting his minor students and trafficking their photos and videos online.

According to a State of the Nation report by Cyril Chavez on Thursday, police obtained a search warrant and rescued six youths—four boys and two girls—from the 43-year-old suspect's home.

They also found sensitive photos and videos of the victims, and equipment used to film them.

According to the investigation, the suspect would ask his students and former students to visit his residence, where he would molest and take explicit photos and videos of the victims.

“Nagkakaroon ng sexual activities with these minor victims. Inamin mismo nitong suspect na bawat galaw niya sa bata ay binabayaran niya ng P300 up to P500,” said Police Lieutenant Colonel Mario Baquiran of the PNP-WCPC.

“Etong suspek natin is very influential, so pwede makagawa ng rason na pagreportin niya ang bata sa kaniyang residente at ganito nga… na inaabuso niya na pala,” he added.
