26 students injured after hanging bridge collapses in Nueva Vizcaya

Twenty-six students in Nueva VIzcaya were injured, three of them severely, after the hanging bridge they were crossing collapsed.

According to a 24 Oras report on Thursday, the incident occurred in the town of Alfonso Castaneda.

Police said the students were headed to a school that was the venue for their intramurals.

The bridge was unable to support the weight of all 91 students and 7 teachers which led to the collapse.

The victims fell almost 10 feet straight into the river below.
