'Ma' of victim in John Amores case has choice words for PBA cager
A woman who said she was the mother of the basketball player John Amores allegedly shot in Laguna went to the police station on Wednesday where the PBA cager was detained.
According to Oscar Oida's report on "24 Oras," the woman who was visibly irate was kept from seeing Amores who was behind bars.
"Bibigyan ko ng kadalaan 'yan dahil hambog 'yan. Ang dami na palang kaso ng demonyong 'yan, e," the woman said.
"Mayabang talaga. Sa akin, madadala 'yan. Tutuluyan ko 'yan. 'Di ako nagpalaki ng mga anak ko para patayin lang niya," she added.
(I will teach that braggart a lesson. He already has many cases. He's arrogant. I would teach him a lesson. I would pursue the case against him. I didn't raise my children only for him to kill.)
Police investigation showed the victim escaped he shooting incident unhurt.
Amores shook his head when asked to comment on the shooting.
He surrendered to the authorities early Thursday.
The PBA player refused to comment on camera as he was asked about the shooting incident.
Amores is facing a charge of attempted murder and will undergo an inquest proceeding today.
