1 nabbed, 3 others charged for alleged rape in Olongapo

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has arrested a suspect and charged him along with three others over the alleged rape of a woman in Olongapo City, who said she was given a drink that immobilized her body prior to a series of sexual assaults.

According to an NBI statement on Thursday, the victim claimed that the suspects invited her to a "drinking spree" at the arrested man's house on Sept. 20. She was compelled to take a "last shot" drink before going home, the NBI said.

"Just as she consumed it, she started feeling intense dizziness and immobilized. Although complainant could clearly see and hear them, she could not carry nor move herself," the statement read.

While she was unable to move, she was allegedly dragged inside a bedroom where she was molested.

The victim passed out but was later awakened, the NBI said, as the arrested perpetrator "was raping her again."

She recounted her experience to her mother, who in turn accompanied her in reporting the incident to the NBI.

The man was arrested at his house in Bagong Daan, Forestry, Old Cabalan in Olongapo City after the victim positively identified him.

He underwent inquest proceedings, while his three alleged accomplices have also been charged with rape. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/ VDV, GMA Integrated News
