PBA player John Amores wanted by police over shooting
Police are now looking for PBA player John Amores after he allegedly shot another basketball player with whom he had an altercation in Lumban, Laguna.
Investigation showed that Amores and the victim identified as Lee Cacalda were playing basketball in Barangay Salac when they got into a heated argument.
Amores was supposed to have said, "Du'n tayo magsuntukuan."
(Let's go someplace to fight.)
The victim reportedly followed the suspect to Barangay Maytalang Uno.
When they both alighted from motorcycles, the suspect reportedly shot the victim with a still undetermined type of handgun.
The suspect fled towards Pagsanjan town.
The victim didn't sustain any injury.
Amores, together with his brother, surrendered to authorities early Thursday morning and is facing a charge of attempted murder. He refused to comment regarding the shooting incident.
