18-year-old woman found dead inside lodging house in Cebu

An 18-year-old woman was found dead inside a lodging house in Toledo City, Cebu, according to the report of GMA Regional TV’s Fe Marie Dumaboc in “Saksi” on Monday.

The victim was found with her hands tied and her mouth stuffed when she was found by the room boy for her supposed check out. 

The police said the victim told her family last Thursday that she will just go to her classmate’s house to participate in a dance practice. But she never returned home. 

Investigation showed that the victim had a meeting with a man whom she met online. The police said that the two checked-in at the lodging house. 

Through a CCTV footage from a nearby establishment, the authorities were able to identify the 43-year-old suspect. 

“We showed the room boy the enhanced CCTV footage that we have and he was able to positively identify the man who was with the victim then,” said Police Lt. Col. Manolo Salvatierra of Toledo City Police Station in Filipino.
