Brawl breaks out at religious procession in Naga, CamSur
Some devotees of the Divino Rostro or Most Holy Face of Jesus got into a brawl amid the procession of the Christ image in Naga, Camarines Sur, according to a report in 24 Oras Weekend on Sunday.
The brawl started when two devotees started pushing each other during the procession. Other voyadores tried to separate the two, but the situation worsened.
According to the police, the tension eased after a few minutes.
The procession ended at the Basilica Minor where a Eucharistic celebration was held.
The procession of the Divino Rostro coincides with the celebration of the feast of Our Lady of Peñafrancia. The feast culminated with a fluvial procession, where 500,000 devotees attended.
