Man, grandson killed after tree falls on house in Palawan


A 64-year-old man and his grandson died after a tree fell on their house in Rizal, Palawan, Mark Zalazar reported Wednesday on 24 Oras.

Three family members are also in critical condition.

Meanwhile, two passengers of a motor banca were rescued off the coast of Balabac after their boat lost its outrigger due to the strong winds and rough seas.

The passengers were returning to the town after selling seaweed when the incident occurred. Both are now in safe condition.

In Puerto Princesa, the Philippine Coast Guard continued its clearing operations of toppled trees that were obstructing roads.

According to the Department of Public Works and Highways - Mimaropa, some roads in Palawan and Romblon remain partly impassable due to structural debris and landslides.—Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
