Woman robbed while lighting candles in Cebu City church

A woman had no idea that she was already being robbed as she was lighting candles inside a church in Cebu City.

According to a report in “State of the Nation” on Thursday, CCTV footage showed that the victim was surrounded by a group of people that pretended to also light candles. 

One of the suspects can be seen carefully picking the victim’s cellphone that was placed inside her shoulder bag. The other suspects later left the area one by one. 

The police are now looking for the suspects who had been charged for theft in the past. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/BAP, GMA Integrated News
