Baste Duterte joins PDP

Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte on Thursday formally joined Partido Demoktratiko Pilipino (PDP), the party chaired by his father, former president Rodrigo Duterte. 

He also took his oath as PDP’s executive vice president. 

Baste was previously part of Hugpong ng Pagbabago, the party of his sister and Vice President Sara Duterte. 

His older brother, Davao City 1st district Rep. Paolo Duterte, remains with the HNP.

Sara earlier said that her father, as well as her brothers Paolo and Baste, are now preparing for the senatorial elections next year. —NB, GMA Integrated News
