Magnitude 5.3 earthquake jolts Jomalig, Quezon

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake hit Jomalig, Quezon on Wednesday morning, PHIVOLCS said.
The monitoring agency said the earthquake of tectonic origin, earlier reported at magnitude 5.6, struck the town at 7:16 a.m. and had a depth of 1 kilometer.
State seismologists said no damage was expected but aftershocks are likely.
The earthquake was felt in the following intensities:
- Intensity V - Jomalig and Polillo, QUEZON
- Intensity IV - Burdeos and Panukulan, QUEZON; Santa Elena, Vinzons, and Paracale, CAMARINES NORTE
- Intensity III - Guinayangan, Alabat, Tagkawayan, Calauag, General Nakar, Real, and Mauban, QUEZON; QUEZON CITY; PATEROS
- Intensity II - Atimonan, Lopez, and Gumaca, QUEZON; Basud and Gallego, CAMARINES NORTE
- Intensity I - CITY OF CALOOCAN; PASIG CITY
It was also felt in the following instrumental intensities:
- Intensity IV - Jose Panganiban, CAMARINES NORTE
- Intensity III - Mauban, Guinayangan, Alabat, and General Nakar, QUEZON; Daet, CAMARINES NORTE; Tinambac, CAMARINES SUR
- Intensity II - Dingalan, AURORA; Gumaca, Lopez, Mulanay, and Calauag, QUEZON; Sagnay, Pasacao, and Ragay, CAMARINES SUR; Los Baños, LAGUNA; CITY OF MARIKINA; City of Tagaytay, CAVITE
- Intensity I - Dolores and Lucban, QUEZON; City of Calamba, LAGUNA; Boac, MARINDUQUE; City of Iriga, CAMARINES SUR; City of Antipolo and Tanay, RIZAL; San Rafael and Marilao, BULACAN; City of Tabaco, ALBAY; CITY OF PASIG; CITY OF CALOOCAN
