3 cops arrested for Bulacan robbery; 4 still at large -PNP

The Philippine National Police arrested three police officers for a robbery in Bulacan's Balagtas town, the PNP said on Friday.

According to a police report, the three arrested cops were Police Staff Sergeant Anthony Ancheta, Police Major Armando Reyes, and Police Senior Master Sergeant Ronnie Galion.

“Nakapagsumite na sila ng complaint sa Prosecutor's Office. Pinapag-aralan ng Prosecutor's Office kung sapat ang iprinesentang ebidensya ng ating mga pulis laban sa tatlong active police officer na naka-assign sa Bulacan Police Provincial Office na kasalukuyang nasa custody na natin,” PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo said in a press briefing.

(They have filed a complaint with the Prosecutor's Office. The Prosecutor's Office is studying whether the evidence presented by our police is sufficient against the three active police officers assigned to the Bulacan Police Provincial Office. The three policemen are currently in our custody.)

According to Fajardo, investigators were still identifying four other suspects at large. They were also trying to determine if these suspects were also members of the police organization.

At 10:35 a.m. on Wednesday, the seven suspects allegedly pretended to be asking for financial assistance inside a subdivision.

The suspects entered some houses inside a compound, drew short firearms, declared a “holdup,” and took six mobile phones, bags, a watch, a laptop, and an undetermined amount of cash.

After the incident, they boarded a vehicle and fled towards the Balagtas bypass road. Investigators were able to determine the vehicle plate number.
