1 dead after MPV crashes into trailer truck in Camarines Sur

One person died after a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) crashed into a trailer truck in San Fernando, Camarines Sur. 

According to the report of GMA Regional TV’s Cris Novelo on “Saksi” on Monday, authorities are investigating the possibility that the MPV driver could have fallen asleep while driving. 

“The MPV swerved to the left, directly to the direction of the trailer truck. Based on his car’s speed, it seemed that he could have fallen asleep while driving,” said San Fernando Municipal Police Station chief investigator PEMS Restituto Cabral II in Filipino. 

The lone casualty was a passenger of the MPV, while six others were injured, the report said. 

Meanwhile, the driver of the trailer truck is now with the police, the report added. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/BAP, GMA Integrated News
