CAVITEX to resume toll collection on July 31

The 30-day toll holiday at the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway Project (CAVITEX) is set to expire on July 31, 2024.

In a social media post, CAVITEX announced that it would resume toll collection on Wednesday.

“Make sure to reload prior to your travel to ensure sufficient balance for seamless travel for you and fellow expressway users,” it said.

In late June, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced that the Toll Regulatory Board had approved the Philippine Reclamation Authority’s recommendation to suspend toll collection at CAVITEX for a month, from July 1 to 31, 2024, “for the benefit of the riding and the transport public." —Ted Cordero/VBL, GMA Integrated News
