Over 300 people stranded in Southern Tagalog, Bicol seaports —PCG

A total of 357 passengers, truck drivers, and cargo helpers were stranded in Southern Tagalog and Bicol seaports which suspended operations due to the effects of the Habagat and Tropical Cyclone Carina on Wednesday.

From 4 a.m. to 8 a.m., the Philippine Coast Guard said that in Southern Tagalog, 193 people, four vessels, and 21 rolling cargoes were stranded.

These covered Tilik Port, San Andres Port, Romblon Port, San Agustin Port, San Jose Port, and Real Port. 

Two vessels and a motor banca temporarily sheltered in the area, according to the PCG.

Meanwhile in Bicol, the PCG said 164 people, 16 vessels, and 43 rolling cargoes were stranded.

These covered Manaogan Port, Port of Pasacao, Aroroy Port, Masbate City Port, Mobo Port, San Pascual Port, and Bulan Port.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
