Bodies of 2 women slain by lone suspect found in Lucena City

The bodies of two women were found underneath their houses in Lucena City, Quezon Province, according to a report by John Consulta in 24 Oras on Tuesday.

Three sacks containing the chopped up body parts of a 29-year-old woman were dug up beneath the shanty of her live-in partner, who was the lone suspect in the crime.

It was the suspect who pointed to the authorities where he buried the victim’s remains after he killed her last June 30 during a quarrel.

“Sinaksak niya ng ice pick sa kanyang dibdib at chinopchop niya ng ilang piraso, ang ulo at paa, at isinilid niya sa tatlong sako at isinilid sa ilalim ng kanyang bahay,” said Police Lieutenant Col. William Angway, Jr., Lucena City Police chief.

(He stabbed the victim with an ice pick on the chest and chopped up her body into several pieces. Her remains were placed in three sacks that he buried beneath the house.)

The report added the suspect showed authorities another location near his house where he buried a drum containing the body of a 22-year old woman, whom his former live-in partner was allegedly jealous of.

“Way back March 2023, pinukpok niya ng matigas na bagay ang ulo at binaon nila sa tagiliran ng bahay, isinilid sa drum,” said Angway.

(Way back in March 2023, the suspect hit the woman with a heavy object on the head. The remains were hidden inside a drum that was buried beside the house.)

The 29-year old suspect was arrested earlier for public disturbance after neighbors complained about his behavior.

The suspect was already investigated for murder in relation to the March 2023 killing, while another murder charge will be filed against him once the family of the second victim coordinates with the authorities, the report said. —Vince Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
