2 dead due to floods in Mindanao - NDRRMC


The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said two individuals were dead following the widespread flooding in parts of Mindanao.

According to a Balitanghali report on Tuesday, a woman in San Roque, Bukidnon was confirmed dead, while a casualty is still awaiting validation in Maramag.

Two people were also reportedly injured while one person is missing.

More than 200,000 residents were affected by inclement weather.

The Department of Agriculture said almost P18 million was the amount of damage caused by rains and floods in regions 9 and 10.

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) over the weekend brought cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Mindanao, according to PAGASA's Sunday afternoon forecast. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
