2 in critical condition in fireworks disposal blast in Zamboanga City

Two persons are in critical condition after an explosion during a fireworks disposal in Zamboanga City on Monday afternoon.  

According to a report on "24 Oras," the blast damaged a house, a church, and other installations near the military firing range in Barangay Cabatangan.

The explosion injured 22 persons.

Zamboanga City Police Office said the fireworks disposal was scheduled on Sunday but it was moved.

The fireworks came from the warehouse in Barangay Tetuan where an explosion on June 29 left five people dead. —Celine Serquiña/NB, GMA Integrated News
