3 injured in multiple vehicle crash in Rizal

Two cars, a truck, and two tricycles were involved in an accident in Teresa, Rizal, on Saturday.

In Nico Waje's report on ''24 Oras Weekend,'' one of the victims, a tricycle driver, was motionless while waiting for those who would rescue him.

His head was lodged between the roof of his trike and the truck that had hit it around 9 a.m. on Saturday.

According to Teresa Police, the truck came from Antipolo and was carrying feed sacks. The truck allegedly lost its brakes while the driver was negotiating a curve.

Three people sustained injuries, including the child of Adelaida Escribano, who was riding in one of the tricycles.

She said that when the accident occurred, her child was on the way to work.

The truck driver is now under the custody of the Teresa Police, and the truck owner promised that they would help the victims.

"Hindi naman namin tatalikuran yung responsibilidad namin. Gagawan namin ng paraan para ma-solve yung problema namin sa kanila," the owner said.
