Marcos announces suspended CAVITEX toll fees from July 1 to 30

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Thursday said the Toll Regulatory Board has approved the recommendation to suspend toll fees in Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway Project (CAVITEX) for one month.

In a tweet, Marcos said the CAVITEX toll fee holiday would be from July 1 to 30, 2024.

(The Toll Regulatory Board, composed of the Department of Transportation, Dept. of Public Works and Highways, Dept. of Finance, National Economic and Development Authority, and the private sector  approved the recommendation to suspend the toll fees in all parts of CAVITEX starting July 1 to 30 of this year.)

(We thank the TRB for their immediate action to the recommendation of the Philippine Reclamation Authority. We also thanked the MVP Group for supporting this initiative.

Marcos earlier tasked TRB "to ensure the immediate implementation" of the Philippine Reclamation Authority's proposal "for the benefit of the riding and the transport public."

The President mentioned this as he graced three major events for CAVITEX — the groundbreaking ceremony of the CAVITEX-CALAX Link, the groundbreaking of CAVITEX C5 Link Segment 3B, and the inauguration of the CAVITEX C5 Link Sucat Interchange (Segment 2) last week. —RF, GMA Integrated News
