Belongings of missing pageant bet found in burned SUV in Tarlac
The belongings of the missing pageant contestant from Pampanga were found in the burned wreck of a sport utility vehicle (SUV) in Tarlac, according to a 24 Oras report on Monday.
The family of 26-year old Geneva Lopez reported that she and Yitshak Cohen, her Israeli boyfriend, were missing since June 21, Friday.
They were reportedly going to Capas, Tarlac to look at property they were planning to purchase.
Early Saturday morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection responded to a burning SUV along a road.
Lopez’s family confirmed that the charred items, including an ID card, belongs to the missing pageant contestant.
The Capas Police said the people that the couple were supposed to meet are coordinating with authorities. Their statements are being verified.
The police are still searching for the missing couple.
Lopez is among the official candidates of Mutya ng Pilipinas Pampanga 2024. She is representing the town of Sto.Tomas in her province. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
