16-year-old graduating student shot dead in Basilan
A 16-year-old graduating student died after being shot in the head outside a mini gym in Tipo-Tipo, Basilan on Wednesday afternoon due to an alleged family rivalry.
According to a "Saksi" report by Cyril Chavez on Friday, CCTV footage caught the suspects on a motorcycle driving up to the victim outside the gym.
One of the riders approached the victim and shot him in the head before speeding away.
The victim, who was supposed to graduate from Junior High School and was attending his graduation practice, was dead on the spot.
“According sa relatives, may connection ito sa rido in between sa pamilya ng biktima at tsaka [ng] bumaril. Nag-coordinate na rin kami sa ibang munisipyo, sa HPG for the possible identification ng motor,” said Tipo-Tipo Police Chief Police Captain Dennis Alam.
