PHIVOLCS reports grassfire at Taal Volcano

There is an ongoing grassfire at the southwest tip of Taal Volcano island on Thursday evening, the PHIVOLCS reported.

The fire was reported to have started around 6:40 p.m. in the vicinity of the DOST-PHIVOLCS' Binintiang Munti Observation Station (VTBM).

The agency underscored that grassfire frequently occurs in this area and that a similar event was recorded last year.

The footage posted on PHIVOLCS social media accounts was captured by the Agoncillo Observation Station (VTAG) between 6:43 PM and 7:10 PM. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
