4K Oriental Mindoro residents affected by extreme heat receive help from GMA Kapuso Foundation

A total of 4,000 residents from Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro affected by the extreme heat received help from GMA Kapuso Foundation.

According to "24 Oras," Wednesday, among those who received help was Ernie Uybad, who makes a living by making brooms using tiger grass.

Because of the hot weather, his source of income is prone to grass fires.

Nare-reject ito," he said.

Ernie used to be able to make 20 brooms per day, but now, he can only make 15 sets.

Under Operation Bayanihan, the residents received food packs and hygiene kits.

One hundred children also received food and vitamins, and the rural health unit was given medicines, alcohol, and diapers.

For those who are interested to help, the GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
