Mom nabbed for online pimping of own kids, aged 1, 6, 8
A 27-year-old mother in Misamis Oriental was nabbed for allegedly peddling her three children, including a toddler, for online sexual abuse.
According to John Consulta's report Wednesday on 24 Oras, operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Human Trafficking Division arrested the mother and rescued the three victims aged eight, six, and one.
"Sa isang implementation ng warrant, naaktuhan din nila ang subject na ino-offer ang kanyang mga anak for sexual exploitation," said NBI spokesperson Giselle Garcia-Dumlao.
(While implementing the arrest warrant, the subject was caught in the act of offering her children for sexual exploitation.)
"'Yung mismong nanay ng 8-, 6- at 1-year old ang mismong nang-aabuso sa kanyang mga anak," Garcia-Dumlao said.
(The mother was abusing her own children aged 8, 6, and 1.)
The NBI said its agents were able to trace the suspect after monitoring a video showing that she was offering the victims to foreigners online. The mother had been allegedly trading her children on the internet for years, the 24 Oras report said.
She is currently under the custody of local authorities and will be facing multiple charges for human trafficking, child abuse, rape with sexual abuse, and for violating the anti-online sexual abuse or exploitation of children (OSAEC) law.
Sought for comment, the mother said: "Yes, nagsisisi." (Yes, I regret what I did.)
Meanwhile, the children will be turned over to the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). — Sundy Locus/ VDV, GMA Integrated News
