Woman stabbed over 60 times in Los Baños


 

A woman was stabbed over 60 times after she was attacked on a roadside in Los Baños, Laguna.

According to Vonn Aquino's report on "State of the Nation," CCTV footage from Feb. 16 showed the victim walking on Maahas Road in Barangay Batong Malaki.

"Lumakad si babae dito po. 'Yan sakop ng Batong Malaki hanggang sa tumawid siya dito, sakop ng San Antonio,” Maahas barangay chairman Ferdinand Vargas said as he pointed to the crime scene on video.

The victim was seen on video running back to the road while two persons were seen fleeing.

The woman tried to call for a tricycle before she fell. She was ignored by pedestrians and motorists until a security guard approached.

She was rescued by an ambulance at 7:30 p.m.

According to the victim’s relative, she was stabbed over 60 times.

Police are currently looking for the suspect.

“Yung suspect is at large. Yung pertinent documents [ay] nakaready na for filing ng criminal case. Titignan natin kung papasok to sa frustrated homicide or frustrated murder,” said PNP Los Baños chief Police Major Jollymar Seloterio.
