LTO suspends license of SUV driver in Subic road rage incident
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued a 90-day preventive suspension on the license of the driver of a sports utility vehicle (SUV) involved in a road rage incident in Subic, Zambales.
According to a 24 Oras report Monday, the SUV driver was caught in a video hitting a car parked on the side of the road. The motorist also almost ran over a woman and the senior citizen driving the vehicle.
Initial investigation showed that a 70-year old retired judge and his assistant were driving along the road when the SUV overtook them. It was also reported the SUV driver repeatedly hit the vehicle while it was on reverse.
Apart from the preventive suspension, the LTO also issued a show-cause order to the driver and the owner of the SUV to appear and provide an explanation regarding the incident before LTO Regional Office III on March 1.—Sundy Locus/RF, GMA Integrated News
