Kennon Road partially closed starting Feb. 19

To make way for repairs, the Kennon Road in Baguio City will be partially closed to vehicular traffic starting Monday, February 19.

The closure of the road connecting Baguio to the town of Rosario in Pangasinan is due to the ongoing repairs at the Camp 6 bridge in Tuba, Benguet.

The city government announced the following window hours that will be implemented at Kennon Road for non-residents until further notice:

Going down from Baguio City
  • Sunday (12:01 a.m.) to Wednesday (12:00 m.n.)
Going up to Baguio City
  • Thursday (12:01 a.m.) to Saturday (12:00 m.n.)
“The temporary diversion road along the Bued River must be taken upon reaching the project site at Camp 6,” the Baguio government said.

“On days when Kennon Road is not passable, please pass through: Marcos Highway-Asin-Nangalisan-San Pascual-La Union Boundary Road,” it added.

Kennon Road residents and emergency-purpose travelers will be allowed to pass both ways but “must still use the temporary diversion upon reaching the project site at Camp 6,” the city government advised.—RF, GMA Integrated News
