Woman found dead in canal in Binangonan
The body of a 31-year-old woman was recovered by authorities in a water duct in Binangonan, Rizal.
According to Oscar Oida's "24 Oras" report, victim Janiclear Cahilig was found lifeless in a canal along Quarry Road around 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police said the body may have been left in the area since Sunday evening.
(She was found in a dark and grassy area. There's no CCTV there. It's also possible she was hit by a hard object.)
The victim was positively identified by her live-in partner, who said she was last seen alive on Sunday at around 4 p.m.
(She cooked for us then told our child she was going out. She never returned.)
Hindi kayo makakatakas," he added.
(Those who were behind this will pay.)
Authorities said they secured CCTV foootage in several areas which can help in their investigation. —Sundy Locus/NB, GMA Integrated News
