Councilor shot dead in Nueva Ecija

A councilor was shot dead by suspects riding-in-tandem in San Antonio, Nueva Ecija, according to a Saksi report on Friday.

According to the police, the victim - Roberto Carpio - was shot in the head after he dropped his grandchild at school on his motorcycle.

The police have yet to determine the motive behind the crime. The victim’s family, meanwhile, declined to issue any comment.
