21-year-old student in Zamboanga del Norte struck by SUV while waiting for bus, dies

A 21-year-old student in Zamboanga del Norte died after she was hit by an SUV while waiting for a bus that would take her to school, according to a report on "Saksi."

Residents in the area helped recover the remains of the student from under the SUV.

The police reported that the SUV driver fell asleep on the wheel while driving. The driver may face several charges including reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and damage to property.

A cousin of the victim revealed that the victim, a second year Pharmacy student, dreamed of becoming a physician someday. They are waiting for the financial assistance from the family of the SUV driver.
