Magnitude 5.1 earthquake hits off San Esteban, Ilocos Sur

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake occurred southwest of San Esteban, Ilocos Sur early Wednesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The quake, which was tectonic in origin with a depth of 10 kilometers, occurred at 3:59 a.m.
